You've Learned A Lot





Take the age you are now and divide the number in half. Between then and now you grew a lot! As children we learn about ourselves and the world around us. As adults we add to that by noticing how our experiences up to now have influenced our thoughts, feelings and behavior. And we learn to make adjustments. So that we can have healthier relationships with others ... and with ourself.



You Are Still Learning





As adults we learn things like how to let go of the past, live in the present moment, create our future, manage our moods, self-soothe in healthy ways, find meaning to life, live our life's purpose, love ourselves, go with the flow, loosen the need to control other's lives, speak our truth without making others defensive. These are probably not things we learned in school. But are vital to living a less stressful, more fulfilled life.



Acknowledge Your Feelings





Know what you are feeling. Whether it is anger, sadness, or whatever. We are human, we have emotions. Be kind to yourself about it. But it is helpful to know what you'd prefer to feel. Maybe you have a job where you feel unappreciated. Or in a relationship where you feel unheard. Deciding that you want to feel appreciated or heard is the first step to creating that. I help you unearth what you are feeling, what you would prefer to feel, and how to map out a pathway to it.



Transpersonal Psychology





Transpersonal Psychology means Beyond the Personal. And like yoga connects us with a greater sense of self. I refer to it as our inner wisdom. It is the domain of the intuitive portion of our brain. You know this space. We all have experiences of it. Maybe you access it through listening to music, walking in Nature, or doing yoga. It feels like a pause, a sense of grace. It feels expansive and lighter. Within that space there is information that can guide you forward.



What to Expect in a Session





Usually in times of stress our rational mind is overthinking. And can block access to our intuitive processing. So at the beginning of our session I help you relax with a 5 minute guided meditation. That way you'll have a clearer mind. And be able to access your inner guidance better. Then we talk and unravel the essence of what's troubling you. Discerning what you can learn from it, what action steps to take (or not take), and how to move on.
