Nature School

When I graduated from high school I began attending Rutgers University working towards a degree in Mathematics. My career goal was to become a college math professor. Which meant I had a lot of schooling ahead of me. But after two years I was burnt out and left college. I moved to an 87 acre tract of land in New Hampshire with a small cabin. It was owned by my boyfriend's family but not being used. So we settled into living a life immersed in nature. Often exploring the woods and sitting by the creek on the property. It was the best education I could have received in terms of connecting with nature and myself.

A Door Opens

While living in New Hampshire I worked at a natural foods store across the river in Vermont. So when I moved back to New Jersey four years later, I landed a job as the manager of a natural foods store in Ocean City. And later became the manager of a large natural foods co-op on the mainland from Atlantic City. It was there that a shopper who was the student director of the local college radio station invited me to host a radio show. All the details of what enfolded from there are on my other website, radiobonniehart.com

Turn The Radio On

As my life took off in an unexpected direction with opportunities to work at one radio station after another, I eventually became the Radio Station Director of Burlington County College. Interacting with the students there, who came to me for advice on their personal lives, inspired me to pursue a Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University so I could become a counselor. But I continued to dabble in radio. And currently host a radio show called Bonnie Hart's Rock n Roll Soul. The music is Blues-based rock with a touch of Psychedelic music, Americana, Garage Bands and much more. If you'd like to listen go to radiobonniehart.com
